    The final event in this season, Diablo League season. And BlizzCon 2019. we talked to Brack about his reaction for Diablo: Immortal, the preservation of the identity of the studio and his plans for Blizzard.

    What was it like to see World of Warcraft Classic launch, given your history with the game and the company. It must have been quite a shock to see the halcyon days of Diablo brought to life again.

    J. Allen Brack: Yeah. I remember that it was nearly two years ago, at BlizzCon that I said that we were planning to release Diablo Classic. It was something fans had been wanting since a long time.

    We stated that we weren't going to try it. But, over the first part of 2017. we sort of figured out how we were going to do it. Thus, announcing it to BlizzCon was honestly one of my best moments of my career. It was really unexpected. It was really something that no one had thought that would happen because of the way we spoke on it.

    Then to come complete circle here, which is now almost two years and to see the massive amount of excitement that has been generated, the overwhelming amount of enthusiasm, and the large number of people returning for the second time, people who previously played it as well as those who have never been able to experience the excitement of the beginning actually like ... It's been a great experience, but it's inadequate--it's just an incredible experience and extremely pleasing to see the enthusiasm from the fans and be able to see the community coming together like that.
