  "We we hoped that the community would perceive it the way we were seeing it, that it was an effort to get people together to play and enjoy themselves," Dawson said. "Play WoW the way you would like, and enjoy the premium content with your friends, regardless what they picked in the character selection screen to choose Horde as well as Alliance."
  
  Blizzard has also become more active with the community with regards to the future of the game than it has ever been before. Alongside being responsive to player feedback in broad terms, Blizzard recently implemented the WoW Community Council, a specially-designed forum for invite-only players that was created to cover a wider portion of the game's players. Patch 9.2 is the first patch of content since the community council's creation, and it's yet another way Blizzard is working to be more attentive to the game's vast and diverse community.
  
  "The community in general is probably the biggest impact on the direction for the PTR cycle for this content update" Dawson said.
