Overview
- Diablo Immortal, Blizzard's mobile-focused entry in its Diablo 4 Gold action-RPG franchise, has now earned over $300 million in revenue as per reports. In comparison, the hugely loved Raid: Shadow Legends made record profits in 2021, exceeding $370 million. This makes Diablo Immortal, which only was released in the summer of 2018 far ahead of the curve, at least financially.
When it was first released, the game came under the sway of harsh criticism and fan reaction. Despite numerous reviews describing satisfying and fun gameplay consistent as the Diablo series gamers were outraged by the game's unconscionable microtransactions and went to review bombing Diablo Immortal in protest.
Blizzard Entertainment's president, Mike Ybarra, defended the microtransactions, stating that the majority of players pay no fee even. The statement didn't go over well with angry fans however, who are confronted with a system that aggressively encourages players to use real money or be forced to deal with a massive grind.
Diablo 4 is currently undergoing the process of its Closed Beta, and as such, more concrete information is finally emerging about the game's features, classes, and gameplay loop, with the information coming out of Blizzard this time and focused on Diablo 4's open-world approach.
Like its predecessors, Diablo 4 is set in the world of Sanctuary however, different from its previous games, the game world is one large interconnected maze that players are able to explore at their own pace and is more similar to what was cheap Diablo IV Gold the Adventure Mode introduced in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
