Overview
- A smart block list removes the worst offenders, but that is only half the system. Many of RuneScape gold the best tasks can be extended for additional points, turning a decent chunk of experience into a feast. Consider buying extensions for Dust Devils,Nechryaels, and Smoke Devils. All three live in multi‑combat rooms where Ice Barrage or a dwarf cannon turns them into glorified stackable XP drops. Their loot— rune items, alchables, and herb seeds— often covers the cost of runes or cannonballs, allowing you to profit while training. Unlike blocked tasks, extended tasks feel less like chores and more like fountain streams of experience.
Balancing efficiency with enjoyment is personal. Some players love boss‑oriented tasks like Cerberus or the Kraken because the thrill of a unique drop overshadows the slower XP. If that sounds like you, keep them off your block list and embrace the variance. Others despise tasks that demand constant prayer flicking or high attentiveness; for them, even profitable assignments like Gargoyles or Abyssal Demons might be worth skipping because the mental fatigue builds over hundreds of kills. In short, the "perfect" block list changes with your account's bank, your combat stats, and your appetite for risk.
SPENDING SLAYER POINTS WISELY
When you do gather enough Slayer points to block another task, weigh the opportunity cost. Each blocked slot costs 100 points, yet skipping unwanted assignments costs only 30. If you encounter a task you dislike but receive infrequently,a simple skip is cheaper than a block. Reserve permanent blocks for monsters with high task weight or assignments that you personally cannot stomach under any circumstances. Once all seven slots are filled, continue banking points for future extensions, boss perks, and skip cushions. Maintaining a reserve of at least 200 points lets you dodge a streak of bad rolls without OSRS GP for sale interrupting your broader Slayer journey.
