  We happened upon Bo Knows accidentally. Writers, directors, sketchers We had just been sat at a table discussing storyboards for our next shoot. We wanted to cut the length because it seemed way too long. Everyone was offering their opinions on this and that. I asked, 'Why should we not do this? ... How do we not move this over here, and put this together, and then cut it down to 5 or 6 seconds?' They glanced at me with a smile and thought 'Wow. It's likely to work. Then someone across the table looked at me and said 'Bo Knows!' Then it stuck. There was no one who sat and racked their brains or stayed up all night with that phrase. It just happened at the war table , discussing shots.
  
  Prior to getting an iconic shoe, it was Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you were the headliner of your first Nike Air Trainer 3, which was later referred to as your shoe. What memories do you have regarding this shoe? Air Trainer 3?
  
  Let me explain it in this way. In 1969, when I was in the very first grade in rural Alabama during the winter, it was in 30s in the outside. And I was required to attend school in barefoot. Shoes were not allowed. This isn't for empathy or as a sob story. But I do remember my brother being a block away from the house. I'm in front of the door. There was a sister standing a few blocks from my younger brother and another sister was waiting at the bus station. My sister who was stood at the bus station and saw that the bus had climbed the hill only a couple of kilometers away, she'd yell towards my younger sister. She would yell to my brother, and my brother would shout at me. Then I'd walk out the door with my feet in the air. By the time my brother came to my first sister I'd probably caught him before he even got there. As we made it to the bus stop, I'm 15, 20 yards from my brother and sister. From attending school in barefoot in the winter of '69 to growing up and having sneakers that were inspired by my own ... I'm fortunate.
  
  After 30 odd decades, people still brag about the shoe and even collect that shoe. Recently one of my best friends of mine, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, he texts me: Hey, Bo! I'm doing a show about each of my sneaker. I'm having trouble finding them. I need a pair of your shoes It just so happened that I had the pair within my work space. I thought, 'Hey, well, I got a pair here. I'll be able to send them to you. It's times like that where I sit back and go, 'Wow.'
