Overview
- As I already mentioned, I have only been able to play just over 20 hours to Elyon Gold date which means I'm a long way from making a final determination about whether Elyon is my preferred MMO in the near future. However, to date I've had a lot of enjoyable playing through the initial levels. Progress through the initial levels is quite quick. Even if you listen to the voiceovers and read through all of the quest's text getting to the level 30 level in a couple of hours is still a feasible objective. I made it to the mid-30s doing the story and region quests. There was no mob grinding was required. Even when I was a bit short of experience, I was able to progress from level 35 to level 36. It took only a few minutes to redo a few quests to get the XP needed to advance.
It took very minimal effort, however it's not because of bad design decisions on the part of Krafton. The current mentality of most MMO players is rush speed, speed. Making more quests than is necessary is perceived as an attempt by the developer to artificially extend playtime without any substance. A number of long-running MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV and Neverwinter have faced the fury of players over this exact issueand have even gone further than removing unnecessary nonsense from the beginning level grind.
Be aware of the what players are currently playing As a result, the first thirty or more levels in Elyon serve as an introduction to the story as opposed to anything else. You aren't even introduced to other aspects like collecting crafting, dungeons, running, PvP, and all the other MMO elements until you're in your 30s. I personally found this to be a streamlined way to keep me focused on completing the "good stuff" before I became focused on other things other than combat.
So far, I've played some Gunner and Slayer however, Mystic Mystic class has caught my attention for the moment. The three classes (and I'll assume the remaining classes are as well) can crush all of the solo content I've had the pleasure of playing up to now. Even without the Mystic's most powerful spells, its combination of stuns and mobility and area of effect damage spells seem a bit overpowered. Unless something else is incredibly cheapest Elyon Gold powerful and I'm not expecting that to change in the next levels. It's not just about monsters' hit points either. The idea of turning enemies into damage sponges won't make fighting an
