Each of these modes still plays excellently, but they're not the primary game in the current focus. 2K23 does not provide much improvement over the previous year's game for those who like these modes, aside of improved gameplay when they hit the court.
  
  However, even with its flaws NBA 2K23 still lands as an overall success thanks to its on-court presentation, if for nothing else. The game feels smoother, more intuitive, and has a great haptic feedback on PS5 which makes every movement feel exciting. There's still some kinks to iron out however this NBA 2K ship is heading fully-steam toward the right direction after the launch of NBA 2K23.
