• The new patch fixes a number of decades-old Bugs The allure that is D2R Items is still going well, if the sales figures from Blizzard's Diablo II: Resurrected are an indication. In a press release announcing the arrival of Patch 2.4 for the remaster (read Neil's perspective on it here), Blizzard has revealed that Resurrected has sold over 5 million units. This is more than outsold the original's 4 million sold.
  
  As for the 2.4 patch, it's only the second patch for 11 years to address balancing issues with Diablo II. "Among the changes are various updates for each class, brand new Rune Words, fresh Horadric Cube Recipes, Mercenary overhauls, and more!"
  
  Particularly important for balancing is changes to a variety of bug that's been present since the start of the game. For example, Blizzard has fixed an issue that led to certain monsters to deplete mana and take greater d2r items for sale than what was originally planned from the player.
