Nazca Booby: A Symbol of Biodiversity in Peru

  • The Nazca Booby (Sula granti) is a striking seabird species found primarily on the Galápagos Islands and other tropical eastern Pacific islands. Named for the Nazca region of Peru, it is a large, white bird with bold black markings on its wings and tail, making it easily distinguishable from other boobies. Adults also have a distinctive long, pointed orange beak, adding to their unique appearance.
