FIFA 23 Showdown SBC is a simple yet ingenious concept that relies on real world football fixtures and results to determine card upgrades.
First, two cards are released for a limited time as Showdown SBCs in upcoming games, usually pitting two relatively evenly matched teams that are about to have an interesting or important game against each other.
FUT players can then "bet" on which team they think will win the game by completing the SBC of the corresponding card, with a view to advancing further.
Once the SBC expires and the game starts, the Showdown SBC card will be upgraded based on the game results.
For the winning team, the corresponding Showdown SBC card in the game will receive a +2 OVR upgrade, while the losing team's card will retain the same rating.
If the match ends in a tie, both cards will receive a +1 OVR upgrade.
