Reschedule the gameThe second option is likely what the league would prefer, but going that route would create even more problems. You could reschedule the game at some point next week (Wednesday or Thursday), but that would impact the playoff schedule because the Bengals and Bills would need a break before playing again. You could schedule the game during wild-card weekend, but that would completely shake things up. Under that scenario, the NFC would play its wild-card games on wild-card weekend while the AFC playoff teams would get a bye since the final seeding in that conference wouldn't be determined until after the Bills-Bengals was played.After speaking with several league sources, Jones notes that the "clearest path forward" is likely to declare the game a no contest or cancel it.
