What tennis player would Charizard be? Mewtwo? What about Pikachu?
These are the questions we asked Yoshihito Nishioka, the #2 men's tennis player from Japan, and a prolific Pokémon trading card collector. He admits he "probably owns a few thousand" at this point, including some particularly rare ones.
So, while Yoshi was quarantining in Melbourne ahead of the 2021 Australian Open, we decided to honor the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green's release in Japan, way back on February 27, 1996.
Coincidentally, that's exactly 5 months after Yoshi was born. So what did this lifelong Pokémon fan think of our questions? Watch to find out!
