Jim Ross believes Vince McMahon could be "leaning" toward selling WWE. The legendary wrestling announcer and current play-by-play man for AEW joins Jimmy Traina on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast and discusses WWE's recent business decisions, which include releasing veteran wrestlers like Braun Strowman, Aleister Black and Lana. JR believes these cost-cutting moves could signal an eventual sale, but thinks Paul "Triple H" Levesque and Stephanie McMahon would still be involved in running the company's day-to-day operations.
Ross also talks AEW's growth and why he loves working for Tony Khan, whether there's anything we don't know about the night The Undertaker threw Mick Foley off the top of the Hell in the Cell, WWE's hiring and firing of Adnan Virk, and much more.
Following Ross, John Ourand from Sports Business Journal joins the pod to break down the NBA playoff ratings, the difficulties in trying to watch the U.S. Open, whether Vince McMahon would sell WWE and more.
