Lamar Jackson and Kirk Cousins are among the NFL quarterbacks who have publicly stated that they have not received the COVID vaccine. Jackson, who recently tested positive for a second time, has called it a personal choice. But with the NFL announcing a policy where outbreaks could lead to forfeits, a player choosing to remain unvaccinated could lead some to question his reliability as a teammate.
As a quarterback, Lamar Jackson is already a team leader. And by getting the vaccine, he could set an example for his fellow players to follow suit and make sure they're in the best position to be available on gameday.
