Is Toto Wolff and Christian Horner’s beef ruining F1 in 2022?
Look, 2021 was a great year for F1. It had everything, drama - great racing and one of the most unpredictable endings in recent history.
I know, depending on which side you look at things, it was either great or it was the worst thing that could have happened.
It goes through the timeline of 2021 and then jumps back and forth to key points of the start of Max Verstappen’s career in F1 and also showing the dominance of Lewis Hamilton from 2014.
We get a few insights from Toto Wolff and Christian Horner and lets just say it gets a bit spicy. (It would be great if we could get this text on screen and instead of the word spicy, can we put a little chilli emoji?)
Wolff saying he has no intention of ever speaking to Michael Masi ever again after that last race in Abu Dhabi and then Horner going on to say that Masi was bullied in the aftermath of the race and that he didn’t get the support he needed.
Toto then says that Red Bull’s sporting director had created a ‘Bromance’ with Michael Masi as his influence over the now ex race director became larger and larger as the season progressed further.
We knew this was going to happen, 2021 won’t go away as it is still massively debated across Social Media.
It is really a difficult subject to talk about as whatever approach you take, someone isn’t going to like what you’re saying.
What do you think of this? Do you think it is healthy for F1?
