The Bulls defeated the Hawks in four overtimes tonight by a final score of 168-161 in the 3rd-highest scoring game in NBA history (most combined points since 370 on 12/13/1983) and the first 4OT game since the Knicks and Hawks played 4OT on 1/29/2017. The Bulls set franchise-records for points in a game and three-pointers in a game and are the first team to score 168+ points in a game since DEN on 3/16/2008. Zach LaVine registered a career-high 47 points (21 in OTs), to go with 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the Bulls, while Lauri Markkanen added 31 points (6 in OTs) and 17 rebounds in the victory. The Hawks also set a franchise-record for points in a game as Trae Young became the first rookie with 49+ points and 10+ assists in a single game since Earl Monroe (2/24/1968), leading the Hawks with 49 points (15 in OTs) and 16 assists in the losing effort. With the win, the Bulls improve to 18-45, while the Hawks fall to 21-42 on the season.
