Nine open water swimmers will be heading to Yeosu, South Korea this July to represent Team USA at the 2019 FINA Open Water World Championships. Four different events — the 5k, 10k, 25k and 5k team relay — will take place from July 13-19, with athletes vying for World Championships medals as well as a chance to qualify for the 10k race at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
National Team members Erica Sullivan and Kaersten Meitz set the pace in the 800m freestyle on the opening night of competition at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville. The race came down to the final 25 meters. Watched to see who claimed the top time in Knoxville.
National Team member Erica Sullivan put on a display in the 1500 once again. The Sandpipers of Nevada swimmer led from the 50 meter mark to the final touch in securing the win on the final night of action at the TYR Pro Swim Series at Knoxville.
Erica Sullivan will certainly be one to watch this summer at Olympic Trials in Omaha. Sullivan and Allison Schmitt lead the field in the women's 400m freestyle on Saturday night at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville.
