South Korea’s Kim Ahryoung turned on the jets to win the women’s 200 breast at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championships.
Ahryoung posted a 38.63 final split to touch out Abby Hay, 2:29.86 to 2:30.51 for the win. Hay had led the first 150 meters before succumbing to Ahryoung’s final surge.
Tylor Mathieu raced her way to third with a time of 2:32.73.
Ohio State’s Hannah Bach led from start-to-finish in the women’s 100 breast at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championships.
Bach brought home the gold in the event with a quick 1:09.01 for the win. She led going out in 32.21 before coming home in 36.80.
Jinq En Phee and Tylor Mathieu matched each other with second-place 1:10.28s, more than a second behind the victor.
Carmel’s Devon Kitchel claimed victory in the women’s 100-yard breast at the 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships - East.
Kitchel stopped the clock at 1:00.53 for the win with Farmington’s Mackenzie Headley earning a close second in 1:00.87. Mason Manta Ray Jessey Li and SwimMAC’s Grace Rainey tied for third with matching 1:00.90s.
Chattahoochee Gold’s Elizabeth Tilt emerged from a close top three to win the women’s 400-yard IM at the 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships - East.
Tilt hit the wall in 4:12.01 for the win in the distance medley event. Lakeside’s Haley McDonald finished second in 4:12.26 with SwimMAC’s Grace Rainey placing third in 4:12.88.

Rainey checked in with a time of 2:10.23 for the win. Sarasota’s Gracie Weyant took home second in 2:11.98 with SwimMAC’s Avery Klamfoth taking third in 2:12.63.
