Auburn’s Reid Mikuta claimed the top of the podium in the men’s 100 breast with a personal best at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championships.
Mikuta touched out Virginia’s Noah Nichols for the victory with a 1:01.35 as he withstood Nichols’ finale charge. Nichols took second overall, just .06 behind, with a 1:01.41.
Brandon Fischer closed out the top three with a third-place effort of 1:02.26.
