The tournament will see three Olympians, Mito Pereira, Rafa Campos and Thomas Pieters return from Tokyo to compete in the 23rd annual event, with fans in attendance for the first time at the tournament since 2019. Richy Werenski will aim to successfully defend his title after winning his first PGA TOUR event at the Tahoe Mt. Club in 2020. The Barracuda Championship uses the Modified Stableford system in which players are rewarded for playing aggressively. An albatross is worth eight points, an eagle five points, a birdie two points, while par is worth zero points and players lose points with bogeys or worse.
