Andrej Barna earned gold in the men’s 100 free at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
Barna clocked a time of 48.44 for the win as the only sub-49 performer of the finale.
Gus Borges stopped the clock in 49.40 for second-place honors, while Tate Jackson placed third with a 49.52.
Florida’s Eric Friese continued the Gator streak of wins with a triumphant time in the men’s 100 fly at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championships.
Friese held off young Thomas Heilman with a winning effort of 52.56. Heilman, meanwhile, set the 13-14 National Age Group record with a second-place swim of 53.27. Iago Moussalem Amaral closed out the podium with a third-place time of 53.59.
