Ryan Murphy stole the show on night three of the 2021 TYR Pro Swim Series at San Antonio with a time of 1:56.06. After achieving the fastest men's 200m backstroke time in the world this year, Murphy said: “I don’t really come into these in-season meets with time goals, I come in with strategy goals... I think I hit the strategy that time.” Chris Read took second place and was the only other swimmer to finish in under 2 minutes, while Anthony Rincon picked up third with a time of 2:02.37.
