Cavalier’s Thomas Heilman, 14, drastically improved the 13-14 national age group record today in the men’s 200-yard fly at the 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships - East.
During prelims, Heilman absolutely demolished the previous record with a time of 1:43.97. That swim eviscerated the previous record of 1:45.39 set by Michael Andrew in 2014.
This evening, Heilman lowered the NAG even further with a 1:42.77 for the win.
Carl Bloebaum placed second in 1:42.94, while Gibson Holmes snared third in 1:42.95 in what proved to be a close podium.
