Defending Olympic gold medalist Simone Manuel touched first with a time of 54.62 in the women's 100m Freestyle A Finals at San Antonio. The win gave Manuel the 15th win in the 100m freestyle of her TYR Pro Swim Series career, which is over double the next closest female 100m-freestyle swimmer in competition history.
Abbey Weitzeil took second place by six one-hundredths as Katie Ledecky finished third with a time of 54.74.
