Sandpipers Bella Sims claimed her second win of the night with a triumph in the women’s 200-yard free at the 2021 Speedo Winter Junior Championships - West. Sims set a meet record with a blazing 1:42.92 for the win. The 16-year-old also moved within a second of Katie Ledecky’s 15-16 national age group record of 1:42.03 set in 2013. Fox Valley’s Leah Hayes placed second in 1:44.03 with Irvina Nova’s Teagan O’Dell earning third in 1:44.62.
